What happened to Spring? We ended up with about 6 inches of snow. Just when I was thinking I didnt need to feed hay everything turned to winter. Just before the snow the cows had decided they really weren t all that interested in the hay bale I brought to them, but by the time the snow covered the ground the bale was gone and they were looking for more. When I went home from Drovers on Friday afternoon the country was just about as beautiful as I had ever seen it. Melting snow revealed great patches of glorious GREEN! The contrast really brought out a vibrant green color mixed in with the pure white snow. By Saturday most of the snow had melted away but the cold weather sure set things back. The grass that had been growing by leaps and bounds just gave way to the cold and seemed to actually recede from its earlier ample growth.
So, were back to feeding everyday and looking for the sun. I m sure its up there somewhere!
So Long,
The Cowboy
